Dear Jacqui,
I visited Tavistock Market earlier this year whilst visiting Dartmoor.
My friend and I chanced upon Tavistock and it's delightful Market quite by accident,and how glad I was.
We spent several hours browsing the stalls and then around the corner was your array of wonderful hats.
I had seen someone some while ago wearing a beautiful waxed hat with velvet lining and flower,so imagine my delight on finding you! Of course I bought a beautiful pink velevet lined waxed hat and what a pleasure it is to wear when walking the dog etc.The hat does not flatten my hair or mark the hair at all unlike others,it stays on securly even in the highest winds (I live between the Severn and Wye rivers and believe me the winds here can be tornado-like) and keeps my hair completely dry in the heaviest of rainstorms (and I have medium length hair).
It is my intention to purchase another one lined in the blue velvet (my favourite colour) and as I will be staying in Dartmoor in October shall visit the market again (presuming I can wait untill then!).

Hi Jacqui,

I received my black velvet cap yesterday. It is so cute!! The stripes in the velvet really add to the style and I love the polka dot lining. I promptly wore it out to do errands and to church and got many compliments. I will be ordering from you again soon.

After days of muffled clothing , battling to work in the winter, how lovely to come home to a package containing such fabulous hats!
I have tried on my new bottle green Velvet "Cotswald" and black Beanie Fleece with all my winter outdoor coats and they "lift" even the drabbest outfit. Not only do they look extra stylish and beautiful but they fit superbly. Even the warm as toast beanie, looks so cute and prettty and must be the most attractive hat for cold weather I have ever had. The design, material and overall quality is amazing for the price. Thank you for this great morale booster!

Dear Jacqui,
I had almost given up to find a nice-looking rain hat in my size when I found your website and was fascinated by your hats. Internet ordering and PayPal payment were very easy and only two weeks later the Gatecombe wax hat you made for me arrived. I just love it! It looks beautiful, in addition to a perfect fit and excellent quality.
I have made the "field test" on my walks here in rainy northern Germany and it's the perfect protection. I am going to get a lot of use out of it and the hat will accompany me to Scotland next year. For all outside the UK, do not hesitate to contact Jacqui. You will love her hats!

Jacqui’s passion for her hats and designs comes across in her warm and joyous energy and she takes every care to find the perfect hat for you.

I was someone who thought they could never enjoy wearing hats due to a mass of curls, but I am delighted to say that I have found my hat - a beautiful, purple velvet ‘lizzie’ with flowers on one side and I love it. The hat fits to perfection, I adore the colour and I haven’t stopped wearing it ; and because of its gentle fit all my curls stay fine too – no more hat hair.
